Sevenly was founded in 2011 with the mission of leading a generation toward generosity. Based on a simple, core belief that ‘People Matter,’ the Sevenly team activated the ‘cause art’ movement and started creating 7-day cause campaigns, inviting customers to purchase products that donate to charity. Now widely recognized as one of the world’s leading ‘social good’ companies, Sevenly performs monthly, weekly, and sometimes even daily campaigns that change lives and bring awareness and funding to the world’s greatest causes.

I was part of the marketing team at Sevenly from December 2012 until April 2016. During my time with the brand, I was managing all social media marketing strategies and communications on all channels, focusing mostly on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. I helped significantly grow the company’s social media followings (Pinterest: 280%, Twitter: 110%, Facebook: 165%, Instagram: 333%) and maintained an editorial communications calendar to track all digital marketing activities and email campaigns. Besides coordinating with various team members and departments to create content for campaigns, I designed, created, and managed promotions and Social ad campaigns.

In addition to overseeing all social activities, I managed the company’s email marketing. I segmented existing data to create target audience for email communications and implemented an email schedule that helped maximize the brand’s efforts on this marketing channel. I worked closely with a graphic designer to create compelling and powerful email blasts that drive traffic and convert 

HIGHLIGHT

In March 2014, I entered the business into a Mashable competition and after several rounds of judging by Mashable, Sevenly won the contest and was recognized as “America’s Most Social Small Business” for outstanding performance on all Social Media channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managed digital communications strategy and ensured that external communications were consistent across all digital channels and properly reflecting the brand

  • Maintained an editorial calendar to provide an overview and road map of all digital communications activity for leadership and other team members

  • Oversaw the content creation and dissemination of all digital communications, including email blasts and social media platforms

  • Implemented a 'Welcome to Sevenly' promotion & email series that drove traffic and increased conversions of new email subscribers

  • Leveraged measurement tools to provide progress reports and insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

  • Managed paid marketing including paid search and social ad campaigns, reported to leadership showing results and ROI

  • Oversaw and managed a team of three, provided progress reports, mentorship, and leadership

  • Established and managed PR and influencer relations and managed marketing campaigns
